Educational Philosophy

Little Apple toddlers develop a sense of security and support that enables them to explore new skills and learn to care for themselves and others. Each day is a celebration of exploration, joyful experiences, and imaginative play.

Cognitive Development

Guided by research on early brain development, our program emphasizes the power of social and emotional connections, encouraging toddlers to build confidence, communicate kindly, and explore new skills with wonder and pride.

Community

The Little Apple toddler classroom is a nurturing community where consistency, curiosity, and kindness guide each day. Through thoughtfully designed routines and round-table social settings, children learn to care for themselves and others

Joyful Exploration

Children develop empathy and expressive language through positive modeling. Supported by a sense of security, toddlers joyfully explore early learning through storytelling, music, art, movement, and language.

Curriculum

The Apple Tree Toddler Curriculum nurtures a sense of security, self-worth, and wonder through consistent routines and meaningful interactions.  Daily activities are focused on seven key areas of growth that directly correlate with cognitive, social and emotional development.

Each day is rooted in seven key areas of growth

  1. Connecting with others

  2. Developing self-awareness

  3. Achieving motor milestones

  4. Expanding language and communication

  5. Exploring physical and spatial understanding

  6. Using tools with purpose

  7. Expressing emotions with confidence

Enriching Days

At Apple Tree, the arts enrich each child’s day—nurturing creativity, communication, and coordination. Music and group singing support language development and social connection, while diverse art experiences empower children to explore self-expression and strengthen fine motor skills.

Outdoor Exploration

We believe nature is an inspiring classroom.  That’s why – weather permitting – Little Apple children spend time outdoors every day in tree-lined play areas, thoughtfully designed for each age group.  Children are constantly building both fine and gross motor skills through joyful movement and hands-on discovery.
